Ukrainian drone operators have destroyed russian D-30 122 mm D-30 howitzer on the Vovchansk direction after locating the artillery piece despite an attempt to conceal it.
The strike was carried out by operators of the ARES unit of Ukraine's 57th Brigade. The brigade released footage showing a series of drone strikes against russian artillery system.

Russian forces had positioned the D-30 system in a kill zone and attempted to hide it from Ukrainian aerial surveillance. However, the concealment did not prevent Ukrainian pilots from detecting the howitzer.
After identifying the target, the ARES operators conducted a series of drone strikes against the artillery piece. Rather than being destroyed by a single hit, the howitzer was repeatedly attacked by Ukrainian UAVs.
The footage shows russian D-30 system catching fire after the strikes. The fire eventually burned through the artillery system, leaving behind what appears to be a largely charred metal frame.
The D-30 is a Soviet-designed 122 mm howitzer that remains in russian service, including among artillery systems being brought back from storage. Such weapons continue to appear on the battlefield despite their age.
