Denmark has signed an agreement with Rheinmetall to purchase up to 1,000 HX2 and TG military trucks. A contract has already been signed for the first batch of more than 100 units, valued in the tens of millions of euros, with delivery expected by 2028.
Representatives of the Danish Ministry of Defense Acquisition and Logistics Organisation stated that the vehicles will be used to equip the 1st Brigade. The vehicles are being purchased in various configurations to meet the different tasks and needs of the military.

According to the government officials, the country will have a large fleet of new RMMV HX2s by the end of 2028. This is probably the most famous modern truck from Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles, used in many countries around the world.
It is also used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, serving both as a chassis for IRIS-T SLM and Patriot air defense systems and as a vehicle or tractor unit. As a result, it has gained the appreciation of Ukrainian military logisticians due to its excellent performance characteristics.

Another example is the TG series, which, while less recognizable to the general public, is also used in many countries. It was also seen on the battlefields of the russian-Ukrainian war. Rheinmetall has recently presented an updated variant with a modern armored cabin.
Both trucks are cab-over, which simplifies maintenance and reduces costs. However, this design increases the risk to the crew, who have limited protection in the event of a collision.

Both series are available in various wheel configurations, such as 4x4, 6x6, and 8x8. The main difference is that TG is a militarized variant of commercial trucks, while HX is specifically designed for military needs.
Overall, the availability of suitable motor vehicles is critical to maintaining military operations in both peacetime and wartime. Earlier, it was reported that more than 1,000 German Mercedes-Benz Zetros trucks had been ordered for Ukraine, in addition to the 340 delivered.
