It could be the first 100% win of Ukraine's air defense capabilities against russian cruise missile attacks

Ukrainian air defense shot down all of the four "Kalibr" missiles launched on the western Khmelnytskyi Region by russian cruisers stationed in the Black Sea. Three of them were neutralized by the western air force command, they fell down causing a fire that ceased quickly, and the southern air force command downed the fourth missile.

"Today, our air defense worked out with 'distinction', it might be the first 100% result we have," said the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Yurii Ihnat in an interview on Ukrainian TV, Stratcom Center reports.

Yet, there are still three carriers of Kalibr-type cruise missiles remaining in the Black Sea, according to the latest report from the Operational Command "South" – two cruisers and one submarine with a totality of 20 Kalibr missiles. As we previously assessed, a four-missile volley indicates that the strike was likely launched by a submarine, since that is exactly how many missiles are carried by one, according to Ukrainska Pravda.

At the same time, russians continue to use anti-aircraft missiles to S-300 systems to launch long-range strikes on Mykolaiv. One such attack was carried out overnight, resulting in several infrastructure objects being damaged. Ukrainian forces already took care of these S-300 systems.
