Today, on July 23, russian occupiers shelled Odesa city port which is used for maritime grain exports.
Russian forces fired four cruise missiles in total, two of them were shot down by air defense. The other two reached the port, as reported by the Operational Command "South" of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine already reacted to this attack, in the words by Spokesman Oleh Nikolenko:

The scale of destruction dealt with this strike can be imagined thanks to what eyewitnesses say about "a big fire in the port area" (perhaps grain silos were damaged). Also, the number of "Kalibr" missiles fired – exactly 4 – could indicate that the attack was launched by one of the submarines of the Black Sea Fleet of the russian federation.
Worth mentioning, not only russia shelled one of the Ukrainian ports, which was supposed to be unblocked for the export of grain. Moreover, according to the agreement signed yesterday in Istanbul, the russians were bound not to shell port infrastructure, not only the grain vessels themselves. Especially since these agreements were personally signed yesterday by the Minister of Defense of the russian federation and war criminal Sergei Shoigu.
As Defense Express earlier reported, Ukrainian cargo vessels still have no protection, too. According to the Commander of the Naval Forces of Ukraine, russians can use both coastal missile complexes of the Bal and Bastion types, as well as Kh-22 supersonic cruise missiles to fire on them. Therefore, Ukrainian Nay needs more air defense capabilities to counter the threat from the sea.
