Six self-propelled howitzers per month is 72 systems per year. For example, Nexter Systems has the same rate of production of Caesar self-propelled howitzers, and in order to triple the production of these systems (from 2 to 6 units), it took more than one and a half years.

Currently, it is not known how many the 2S22 Bohdana self-propelled howitzers are already in service with the Defense Forces of Ukraine, as well as how long it took the Ukrainian defense industry to reach such production rates. In addition, plans to further increase the rate of monthly production of these artillery systems are also not disclosed.

We will remind you that the 2S22 Bohdana self-propelled howitzers recently received a critically important update that the Ukrainian military had been waiting for a long time - mechanized rammer for sending the ammunition into the barrel, which will increase the rate of fire of this system. Recently, a photo of the self-propelled howitzer equipped with a mechanized rammer was published by the 1st Special Purpose Brigade named after Ivan Bohun:

As the CEO of Ukrainian Armor, Vladyslav Belbas told earlier, the 2S22 Bohdana self-propelled howitzers are being produced in several versions at once in order to speed up the process of supplying these systems to the Ukrainian military.

For the first time, the 2S22 "Bohdana" self-propelled howitzer was demonstrated in 2018. Today, this artillery system is actively used by the Ukrainian military on the fronts of the russian-Ukrainian war, in particular, it took part in the liberation of the Snake Island from the russian occupiers.
