That is according to the information shared by South Operational Command on its official page on Facebook.
“Last night, as another stage of the military operation was successfully completed with our rocket and artillery units launching strikes on Snake Island, the enemy hastily evacuated the remains of their garrison using two high-speed boats and, presumably, left the island. Currently, there is a fire on Snake Island, and explosions can be heard. The final results of the military operation are yet to be reported,” the report states.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valery Zaluzhnyi, just has stated that "not being able to withstand the fire of our artillery, missile and air strikes, the occupiers left the Snake Island."
Valery Zaluzhnyi also noted that the Ukrainian Bohdana self-propelled artillery system played an important role in the liberation of the island, along with the weapons received from the partners.
"I thank the defenders of Odesa, who took maximum measures to liberate a strategically important part of our territory. A low bow to the designers and manufacturers of the Ukrainian Bohdana self-propelled howitzer, which played an important role in the liberation of the island. Thanks to foreign partners for the provided means of destruction," noted the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and thanked everyone who helps defend Ukraine: "I thank everyone who helps defend every inch of Ukrainian land and believes in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Together we will win!"

Snake Island is a strategic Black Sea landmass off the southern coast near the city of Odesa. The Island was made famous when Russia first captured it in February. A Ukrainian soldier posted on the island told an attacking Russian warship to “go fuck yourself”, which has become one of the most popular Ukrainian slogans of resistance since the invasion.
Defense Express reported that, as part of the military operation on Snake Island, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed Russia’s radar system, several Pantsir-S1 air defense missile and gun systems, other military equipment and Russian personnel.
