The Ukrainian military has been using the Ukrainian 2S22 Bohdana 155-mm self-propelled howitzer which is developed by PJSC Kramatorsk Heavy Duty Machine Tool Building Plant, part of NAUDI – the National Association of Ukrainian Defense Industries on the battlefield in Donetsk region for three months. In a conversation with ArmyInform, Ukrainian military personnel of the Bohdana 155-mm self-propelled howitzer crew told how this Ukrainian artillery system destroys the occupiers at the front in a conversation with ArmyInform.

"The 2S22 Bohdana self-propelled howitzer is used for artillery strikes against such typical targets as enemy manpower, armored vehicles, ammunition depots, enemy command and observation posts. For this purpose, high-explosive and cluster munitions are mainly used. In one day, the gunners fire on average 100 shells from the system," a battery commander named Vitaly tells ArmiyaInform.

According to Vitaly, the military is "extremely satisfied" with the Bohdana self-propelled howitzer, noting its maneuverability and accuracy: "If it is not possible to hit the target with the first projectile, then the second projectile will definitely hit the target. Probably, because of this, the enemy is constantly hunting for us".
At the same time, the chief sergeant of the battery with the call sign "Frigat" emphasizes the high level of automation of the Ukrainian self-propelled howitzer, noting the control panel of the artillery system: "You just press the button and the main body automatically bringing into firing position or travelling position."

The artilleryman with the call sign "Frigat" also says that the automatic loading system, which could be added in subsequent modifications of the Ukrainian 2S22 Bohdana self-propelled howitzer, would make it "no worse than the French Caesar self-propelled howitzer."
According to the commander of the gun Fedir with the call sign "Zhytomyr", now the Bohdana self-propelled howitzer has a lot of work to do. Its combat work at one position generally lasts no more than 30 minutes - this time includes the route to the position, bringing into firing position, firing, bringing into travelling position and leaving the position.
