Czech defense company Primoco UAV SE, engaged in unmanned aerial vehicle development and production, received construction permit for production facility in Písek city, the company began preparing for this project two years ago in April 2024 and it should become an important stage of company development.
It is noted that new factory construction should start in another two years, in 2028, with total investment volume of 750 million Czech crowns (approximately $36 million). Thanks to new production capacities, Primoco UAV SE company will be able to increase unmanned aerial vehicle production volumes to 300 units per year. This is stated in company press release.

Moreover, overall this involves not only building just a factory but an entire technological complex, likely precisely with this connected such project approval and construction start timelines.
It will unite administrative building, exhibition hall, pilot training center and directly production shop measuring 145 x 31 meters. The project will unite the entire company value creation chain, from development and production to presentation and training, Primoco UAV SE emphasizes.

Additionally, the new facility will be located near Písek-Krašovice airport, where the company is already building hangar and training premises, with work to be completed in mere months in first half this year.
The company's flagship product is Primoco One 150 unmanned system, positioned as medium-payload UAV, which the company generally calls the only unmanned aerial vehicle of its category in the world. Overall as of today over 250 such drones have been produced, currently operated on four continents.

Among Primoco drone operators is Ukraine. They were supplied to our military within defense assistance from Luxembourg and Germany, so the company has opportunity to improve its products given combat operation experience. However, as of today it remains unknown how effective these drones proved at the front.
Also, Primoco drones are interesting because they can play Shahed hunter role thanks to integration of small air-to-air missiles having 600 km/h speed.
Previously, Defense Express reported that early March this year Spain ordered Primoco drones, with the company needing less than a month to make delivery. However, this involves small unmanned system quantity, given €4 million deal value, this may be up to five UAVs.
