On July 22, Boeing Corporation and Ukraine's Antonov Company signed a Memorandum of Understanding exploring opportunities to collaborate on defense-related projects, according to the Boeing website.
The agreement outlines potential cooperation areas: training, logistics support, and overhaul services for tactical unmanned aerial systems used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, including the ScanEagle. Additionally, the companies will explore opportunities for Antonov to provide engineering support to Boeing.

“A strong, innovative, and efficient defense industry is key to sustainable economic development and national security, and we are extremely excited to collaborate with Boeing,” said Ievhen Havrylov, CEO of Antonov Company. “This agreement brings a whole new level of opportunity to implement the latest and most effective solutions – in addition to the possibility of future projects with Boeing in the aerospace and defense industry.”
It is worth noting that Antonov Company became Ukraine's first representative in the Aerospace, Security, and Defense Industries Association of Europe (ASD).
The ScanEagle is an American unmanned aerial vehicle developed by Insitu, a subsidiary of Boeing. Its primary functions are to conduct aerial reconnaissance and assist in the targeting of artillery and other weaponry.
The drone can stay airborne for over 20 hours, depending on its configuration, and has a flight range of up to 100 kilometers. It is capable of reaching speeds of up to 150 km/h.
