The Puma-2022 military training began On Friday, November 4, 2022. The troops of the "Visegrad Four" countries - Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary - participate in these military maneuvers.
The "core" of the exercises is the Polish 18th mechanized division, which was formed specifically to deter the russian federation. The participants of the exercises will work out "scenarios formed taking into account the experience of the war between russia and Ukraine" The Polish PAP agency writes about it.

Participating countries involved 3,000 military personnel and 300 pieces of equipment for the Puma-2022 military exercises. In addition to the Visegrad Four, the United States and Great Britain also took part in the exercises, their servicemen are currently covering the eastern border of Poland.
Such a multinational grouping of troops will train, in particular, to jointly force the San River, conduct an active defense, eliminate the consequences of a possible chemical attack by the enemy. The involved troops also will learn on how to properly request artillery support in combat conditions and actually conduct "integrated fire". The culmination of the exercises should be, in particular, joint shootings of Polish tankers on Leopard 2 in cooperation with Czech tankers on T-72M4CZ and British colleagues on Challenger 2.
Poland conducts Puma-2022 maneuvers with the participation of the Visegrad Four, and in parallel conducts a number of other exercises under the conditional names - "Sistem-22", "San-22" and "Gepard-22", the content of which has not yet been disclosed.
Taking everything mentioned in account a following conclusion could be made: the Puma-2022 maneuvers are one of Poland's attempts to improve its defense forces in terms of organization so that it has the ability to successfully wage war against the russian federation. The appearance of Hungarian troops at such "anti-Russian" maneuvers can be interpreted as follows: Poland wants to check whether Hungary will "stab in the back" if the Kremlin starts a large-scale war against Poland.
