The Foreign Minister of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, has said that Iran supplied drones to Russia, but it did so before the start of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports citing to IRNA.
"As for the drones, it's true, and we provided Russia with a small number of drones a few months before the war in Ukraine," The Foreign Minister of Iran said.

He noted that in a phone call with his Ukrainian counterpart, both parties agreed on the transfer to Tehran of evidence about the use of Iranian drones in Ukraine.
"If it turns out that Russia used Iranian drones in the war in Ukraine, we will not remain indifferent to this issue. Our position on the war in Ukraine is to end the war, bring the parties back to negotiations and return refugees to their homes. Iran, at the level of the president and the minister of foreign affairs, has made a lot of efforts in this regard," Amir-Abdollahian noted.
Earlier the U.S. Department of State Department stated that the United States would use all tools to prevent Iran from supplying weapons to Russia.
