The Special Purpose Center Omega of the National Guard of Ukraine has received Novator armored vehicles, specially tailored for rapid response units operating in high-threat areas

The newly delivered Novator armored vehicles, produced by Ukrainian Armor, have strengthened Omega’s frontline units. While the exact number and configuration of the vehicles remain undisclosed, it is believed that the transfer includes an upgraded version of the base model.

According to Omega operators, these vehicles are designed specifically for rapid reaction missions and are equipped accordingly. Visual evidence shows that the Novators feature an armored machine gun turret, intended to provide direct fire support and engage targets in active combat zones. Notably, one of the vehicles was also seen equipped with an electronic warfare (EW) system mounted at the rear, used to counter enemy drones, except those guided by inertial or fiber-optic navigation.

Omega personnel emphasize that the situation on several frontline sectors remains extremely intense. The deployment of Novator vehicles allows special operations forces to execute their tasks more effectively. Their wheeled platform offers enhanced mobility and protection, shielding personnel from small arms fire, shrapnel, and even mines.

The Novator has gained popularity among units of the National Guard and other branches of the Defense Forces. Originally introduced as a basic armored vehicle, it has since evolved into a versatile multi-role platform, capable of supporting a wide range of mission profiles. This adaptability positions the Novator as a potential unified wheeled base for future vehicles, simplifying logistics and operational integration.

It is worth noting that Ukrainian Armor has also unveiled another modern armored vehicle — the Varta-2. This platform has completed the codification process and is now ready for mass production. One of its key features is the optional integration of a 30mm automatic cannon turret, expanding its combat capabilities significantly.
