Ukrainian defense technology continues to attract investment and recognition, as Trypillian has officially become a resident of the Diia.City platform. This development underscores the growing role of Ukrainian-founded companies in shaping modern warfare technologies and strengthening the defense sector.
Trypillian is a British-Ukrainian defense startup established in 2024 by a group of veterans, military experts, and civic leaders. The company was born out of direct battlefield experience, with its mission centered on creating drones and software solutions "by soldiers, for soldiers." This approach ensures that products meet real-world combat needs rather than theoretical design assumptions.

In its latest achievement, Trypillian secured $5 million in investment funding, a significant step for a relatively young startup. These resources will allow the company to accelerate development of its flagship project, the Trypillian SSG autonomous long-range strike drone.
Unlike many existing systems, the Trypillian SSG drone is being designed to operate independently of satellite navigation. This feature directly addresses one of the biggest challenges facing drone operations: the effectiveness of russian electronic warfare systems, which frequently jam or spoof GPS signals. By removing reliance on satellite guidance, Trypillian SSG aims to ensure mission reliability even in heavily contested environments.

The drone's operational concept focuses on exhausting enemy air defense networks. By deploying swarms of autonomous drones, Ukrainian forces could potentially force russian anti-air systems to expend valuable interceptor missiles on relatively low-cost targets, opening opportunities for follow-on strikes with precision weapons.

Becoming a resident of Diia.City also provides Trypillian with important benefits: a favorable legal and tax framework, access to specialized talent, and a support ecosystem that connects the company with investors and partners. For Ukraine, this integration highlights the value of merging defense innovation with the country's digital economy strategy.
Earlier, Defense Express pointed out another innovation in the UAS field, the Hara multirole UAV. This platform is currently deployed by the Khyzhak Brigade, providing new capabilities for both surveillance and offensive operations.
