Serial production of this armored car lasted for almost two decades, and during this time only 4,409 units of these vehicles were produced - Ferret Mk cars are currently in storage and even in service in a number of countries.
Today, the Ferret Mk car is one of the smallest armored vehicles in the world with a body length of only 3840 mm. In addition, the car is also very low - without a machine gun, its height is less than 1500 mm, which will be useful for reconnaissance units, since the car is almost invisible from behind the bushes.
The body of the vehicle is made of steel armor plates 10 mm thick, located at an angle. The weight of the "empty" car is 4.5 tons, the combat one is 5.2 tons. Equipped with a Rolls-Royce B.60 engine with a volume of 4.2 liters and a power of 129 hp, it can develop a speed on the highway of up to 93 km/h, a range of 300 km. The crew of the car is a driver and a gunner, in addition, there are several places for the landing party in the cramped car.
