A photo has appeared on the network showing the BS-3 100 mm gun, potentially of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces. These BS-3 guns were produced between 1944 and 1951.
The fact that this gun can be genuinely used in combat against the russians is evidenced, in particular, by a photo of a new or well-preserved 100 mm shell held by one of the crew members of this BS-3 gun. Furthermore, it is evident that the gun itself was photographed in a properly prepared field position.

Up until this moment, the presence of BS-3 guns in their inventory was also being showcased by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine personnel at the beginning of September 2023. This marked the first official confirmation of such cannons in active service within the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

There is not enough data to determine whether the BS-3 guns in the arsenal is a trend or, conversely, an interesting exception. However, the mere fact of incorporating such a rarity into active service is quite indicative. It demonstrates the ongoing need in artillery.

The BS-3 gun has the following specifications:
- Firing Range: up to 20.8 kilometers;
- Rate of Fire: 8-10 rounds per minute;
- Combat Weight: 3.6 tons.
