A photo has appeared in the public domain, which shows that as a result of a successful counteroffensive in the Kharkiv region, fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine captured russian 152 mm Krasnopol guided artillery shells of the 2K25 Krasnopol system.
The cost of one such projectile is about $ 35.000. In particular, in this photo you can see less than 10 Krasnopol shells, and this number may be enough only to study this russian ammunition, which first fell into the hands of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

However, it is quite likely that there were actually more trophyed Krasnopol projectiles, and in the near future Ukrainian gunners will "return" some of these shells to their former "owners".
At the same time, according to the conservative estimates of the Oryx portal, during the entire war, the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine took at least 12 of the latest russia’s Msta-SM2 self-propelled howitzers as trophies. These artillery installations, according to the russians themselves, differ in particular in the latest fire control equipment. Therefore, we will not rule out that Msta-SM2 will become a tool for "shooting" trophy Krasnopol projectiles during the study of these ammunitions, or for disposal of russian invaders in Ukraine.
In April 2022, there were reports that the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine discovered a destroyed Russian truck, in which the remains of the Krasnopol projectiles were found.
The 2K25 Krasnopol system consists of the 30F39 guided shell, a 1D22, 1D20, or 1D15 laser target designator (LTD), and the 1A35 shot synchronization system. The laser designation system has a range of 5 kilometres (3.1 mi), while the projectile itself has a range of 20 kilometres (12 mi) and a target seeker radius of 1 kilometre (0.62 mi).
