Journalists of ArmiyaInform observed how the Ukrainian Army's crews of French CAESAR self-propelled howitzer works directly on the positions of the Russian army and asked Ukrainian artillerymen about the advantages of this artillery system.
The Ukrainian artillerymen note the maneuverability and long-range of the CAESAR self-propelled guns and generally call it "the nightmare of the Russian occupiers" - in a matter of minutes, the CAESAR crew takes up a position, sends "gifts" to the occupiers and leaves away.

"This self-propelled howitzer has a semi-automatic charging system, you only need to place the projectile and charge on special trays - everything else will be done automatically. Aiming the weapon at the target is carried out using the fire control system in automatic mode," one of the artillerymen of the Armed Forces from call sign "Fiksyk" tells.
Artem, another gunner, notes that Ukrainian artillerymen use the French artillery system very intensively, both during the day and at night. Among the targets of CAESAR self-propelled howitzer are equipment, headquarters, warehouses with ammunition and so on.
It will be recalled that the Armed Forces currently have 18 CAESAR self-propelled howitzers in service, which were supplyed by France as part of defense assistance. At the same time, the number of these artillery systems in the Armed Forces may increase next year.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine can receive the latest modernization of the French CAESAR self-propelled howitzers thanks to agreements with Denmark. In particular, France can "borrow" up to 12 units of CAESAR self-propelled guns from the contract for Denmark, however, this process is likely to take more than one month.
