As Swedish Defense Procurement Agency engineer Gabriel Dalborg noted, Sonobot 5 enables obtaining detailed 3D seabed maps in tight timelines, which in turn positively impacts decision-making speed and improves field work.
EvoLogics Sonobot 5 has modular design and therefore can be built in various configurations according to customer preferences. Overall it features compact dimensions and requires only one operator for deployment.
Product mass depending on configuration ranges from 24 to 33 kg, transported in two cases with no additional tools needed for assembly.
Built from carbon fiber, stainless steel and structural plastics, so Sonobot 5 can also be used in contaminated water. Can be equally effective as autonomous platform and in coordinated asset network operation.

Has built-in artificial intelligence enabling faster data processing, accordingly enabling more effective and faster decision-making, which is important specifically for military needs.
In standard configuration equipped with echo sounder and side-scan sonar for bathymetric mapping and seabed visualization.
Worth mentioning Sonobot 5 naval drones were also supplied to Ukraine. For example, Germany reported transferring such weapons in 2024 within one of defense assistance packages.
