According to preliminary data, the system was hit by a cluster munition. After the hit, black smoke rose above the place where the Pantsir-S1 was located. The governor of Belgorod Oblast Vyacheslav Gladkov reported only about the smoke in Dubovoye. According to his version, grass had burst into flames in the settlement.
"It did burn at the Pantsir-S1 location due to the dispersal of cluster munitions. There was also a road blockage in the area where the Pantsir-S1 was destroyed. The road would not have been blockedbecause of burning grass," Parmenov noted.
According to his information, the crew of the SAM system managed to survive. At the same time, the author of the Ukrainian monitoring Telegram channel called Vanek Nikolaev claimed that the crew did not survive in both cases.
He also added that it was Pantsir-S1 system that tried to cover russian grouping during the failed offensive on Lyptsi in Kharkiv Oblast.
Earlier Defense Express reported that russia had supposedly used new Fab-3000 super-heavy bombs in Kharkiv Region.
