The U.S.-German-Ukrainian joint venture Auterion Airlogix was established earlier this year and is already working to meet the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces

The Ukrainian company Airlogix and German-American company Auterion have begun production of 5,000 long-range drones at their joint venture's facility in Germany. The project involves two drone models—the Anubis and the Seth-X—which will be supplied to the Ukrainian Armed Forces for strikes against russian forces.

This is reported by Hartpunkt. According to Hasenblatt, The deal, worth approximately €300 million, is funded by the German government. The contract is to be completed by mid-2027. Under the joint project, Auterion provides the software, while Airlogix handles the hardware.

Production will be carried out by the Auterion Airlogix Joint Venture GmbH at a facility near Munich. In addition, another plant is planned in eastern Germany. The production model has been specifically designed for replication at other locations and is intended to provide industrial capacity for Europe and its allies.

Auterion also states that this is the first time that long-range drones of this class are being mass-produced in Germany, most likely referring to the Anubis, which has a range of up to 1,500 km. At the same time, the company emphasizes that each UAV rolls off the assembly line ready for use in environments where jamming and electronic warfare systems are in operation.

From Defense Express we would like to note that This provides the Ukrainian Armed Forces with an additional production line for drones capable of striking targets in russia. Meanwhile, Germany is able to use military aid to Ukraine to strengthen its own industry.

It should be noted that on February 13, 2026, Airlogix and Auterion signed an agreement to establish a joint venture, Auterion Airlogix Joint Venture GmbH. As early as April 2026, an order from the Ukrainian military was announced for thousands of Anubis and Seth-X drones.

As for the drones themselves, both have already been spotted in service with the Ukrainian military. In the case of the Anubis, the drone has appeared both in official videos released by Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces and in photos taken from the russian side showing it on the ground.

Anubis belongs to the class of long-range drones with a range of up to 1,500 km and a payload weighing 40–50 kg. Less is known about the Seth-X. It is known that it is designed to engage personnel, light armored vehicles, and logistics vehicles at medium rangeIt has also been spotted in Ukraine, though so far only through the lens of a russian anti-aircraft drone.
