The 27th Brigade of the National Guard eliminated an advanced platform capable of deploying 600 mines per salvo

Ukrainian defenders have successfully eliminated rare russian remote mining system in the Zaporizhzhia direction, dealing another blow to Moscow's engineering capabilities on the battlefield. The announcement was made on August 26 by Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, Oleksandr Pivnenko.

According to Oleksandr Pivnenko, the destroyed equipment was the Zemledeliye, a sophisticated russian remote minelaying system. This platform is capable of deploying up to 600 mines in a single salvo, allowing the rapid creation of extensive minefields designed to block or slow advancing forces.

The system was destroyed through coordinated actions by Ukrainian units operating strike drones. Specifically, the 27th Brigade of the National Guard carried out the precision attack, which was captured on video and later released to the public. The footage shows the targeted strikes that disabled and ultimately destroyed the engineering asset.

Oleksandr Pivnenko emphasized that the loss of such equipment highlights the effectiveness of Ukrainian defense forces in neutralizing specialized enemy systems. Russia has only a limited number of the Zemledeliye units in service, making each loss significant both tactically and symbolically.

The Zemledeliye unit is part of russia's modern arsenal designed to quickly shape the battlefield. Its ability to scatter large numbers of anti-personnel and anti-tank mines over vast areas presents a serious threat to Ukrainian maneuver operations. The elimination of one such system reduces the enemy's capacity to fortify positions or disrupt offensive movements with new minefields.

Ukraine's increasing use of drone strike units has proven decisive in targeting high-value enemy assets that are often well-protected or deployed far behind the front lines.

The destruction of the Zemledeliye system once again underlines the growing importance of unmanned aerial systems in modern warfare.

This successful strike not only weakens russia's engineering capabilities but also boosts the morale of Ukrainian troops and society. Each high-value loss inflicted on the invaders reinforces Ukraine's resilience and demonstrates the adaptability of its forces in countering technologically advanced enemy systems.
