The facility's annual crude oil processing capacity ranges from 7 to 8.9 million tonnes. It should be noted that the Syzran Oil Refinery is part of russia's energy rear and plays a role in supporting the aggressor's armed forces.
The extent of the damage is currently being clarified.

In addition, the Defense Forces of Ukraine successfully struck the following targets:
- a storage and maintenance site for unmanned surface vessels in the Chornomorske area (Crimea);
- a repair unit of the 1435th Motorized Rifle Regiment near the settlement of Antratsyt (temporarily occupied Luhansk Oblast);
- a pontoon crossing near Nikonorivka;
- a storage facility for Shahed-type UAVs in Makiivka, Donetsk Oblast.
Enemy losses are being assessed.
The results of a recent strike on the LUKOIL-Volgogradneftepererabotka oil refinery in russia's Volgograd Oblast have also been confirmed. The attack damaged a petroleum product pipeline and a technological unit used in oil processing.
"The Defense Forces of Ukraine will continue to take measures to undermine the military and economic potential of the russian occupiers and to force the russian federation to end its armed aggression against Ukraine," the General Staff added.
