The first satellite image of a russian ammunition depot in the village of Soldatskoye, Voronezh Oblast, after the explosion and fire has been made public

On the morning of Saturday, September 7, an ammunition depot exploded in russia's Voronezh Oblast. russian authorities claimed that air defense and electronic warfare forces in the Ostrogozhsky District, where the depot is located, allegedly "suppressed" the drone's attack.

It is reported that the explosion was caused by a drone that fell on the territory of the depot, which provoked a fire that later spread to the ammunition. Then they began to explode one by one.

russian authorities reported there were no casualties. However an evacuation from a village near the depot was announced. It should be pointed that the depot is located 120 kilometers from the border between Ukraine and russia.

Special Kherson Cat OSINT researcher released a satellite image on X, showing the scale of the fire. According to the image, the fire covered a wide area.

Earlier Defense Express reported that Ukraine's FPV drone had intercepted russian Lancet loitering munition.
