Operations at the strategic port came to a standstill on Friday after a wave of Ukrainian drones reportedly struck the area.

Industry sources confirmed that pipeline operator Transneft has suspended the flow of crude to the port, effectively shutting down its export capacity. The halt follows claims by local authorities that the attack caused substantial damage, hitting a docked vessel, an oil depot, and several apartment buildings.
Novorossiysk is one of russia's primary channels for crude exports, making the suspension a serious disruption to the country's energy logistics.
Transneft, the state-owned pipeline monopoly, declined to issue an official statement.
Earlier, Defense Express reported that the Novokuybyshevsk oil refinery in the Samara region of the russian federation had been hit by Ukrainian forces. The refinery is one of russia's largest, with an annual capacity of around nine million tons of oil.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian forces also destroyed a drone storage site and a fuel and lubricant pumping station belonging to the Rubicon Center for Advanced Unmanned Technologies in temporarily occupied Donetsk Oblast.
