Coordinated UAV strikes targeted russian air defenses, underground fuel facilities, drone command posts, and troop concentrations across multiple regions

Operators from Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces have carried out a coordinated series of strikes against russian air defense systems, fuel infrastructure, and command assets across multiple frontline sectors.

The strikes, announced by the Unmanned Systems Forces on the evening of May 7, targeted a range of high-value assets in Donetsk, Luhansk, and Zaporizhzhia regions. The operations were conducted in coordination with the Deep Strike Cente.

According to the statement, operators from the 1st Center struck two russian Buk-M3 surface-to-air missile systems in Donetsk region. The Buk-M3 is among russia's more modern medium-range air defense systems, designed to intercept aircraft, cruise missiles, and drones.

The same unit also targeted railway fuel tankers and an underground fuel storage facility in Luhansk region. Fuel depots remain critical targets in Ukraine's strategy of attrition, as disrupting fuel supplies can severely affect russian mobility, logistics, and operational tempo.

Meanwhile, operators from the 414th Brigade reportedly struck the Strela-10 short-range air defense system and enemy drone control points in Zaporizhzhia region.

Additional strikes were carried out by the K-2 20th Brigade, which hit another fuel and lubricants depot in Luhansk region. At the same time, pilots from the Phoenix border guard unit, working alongside the Raid 413th Regiment, targeted an ammunition depot as well as concentrations of russian personnel and military equipment.

The operations form part of what Ukrainian forces described as an ongoing "air defense hunt", aimed at systematically dismantling russian anti-aircraft capabilities. According to the Unmanned Systems Forces, nine elements of russian air defense systems have been struck during the first week of May alone.
