Ukrainian border guard units have disrupted russian assault on the North-Slobozhanske axis, eliminating several key assets including a modern electronic warfare system. The State Border Guard Service reported the operation on May 6, releasing combat footage that documents the sequence of strikes.

According to the statement, operators from the Chernivtsi Border Detachment used unmanned aerial systems to detect and engage a group of кussian forces preparing for an attack. The targets included not only personnel, but also critical technical equipment intended to support the assault.

Among the most notable losses was the destruction of the Peroed electronic warfare system, described as a relatively new russian system. EW platforms like this are typically used to jam communications, disrupt drone operations, and protect advancing units from aerial reconnaissance and precision strikes.

In addition to the EW system, Ukrainian drone operators struck a signal amplifier used to extend the operational range of russian UAVs. The removal of this capability likely degraded the enemy's ability to coordinate drone reconnaissance and adjust fire in real time.

The operation also targeted russian mobility and manpower. A vehicle transporting equipment was destroyed, while two russian soldiers attempting to approach Ukrainian positions under the cover of darkness were eliminated before they could initiate close combat.

The reported value of the destroyed Peroed system, approximately $30,000, may not be exceptionally high compared to larger platforms, but its tactical role is significant. Even relatively compact EW systems can provide critical battlefield advantages, particularly in environments saturated with drones.
