Ukrainian forces successfully struck a high-value radar system along with three russian helicopters, weakening air defenses

The russian military presence in temporarily occupied Crimea has once again suffered losses following a precision operation carried out by the Defense Intelligence's Prymary unit. Ukrainian operatives struck both aircraft and critical radar infrastructure, dealing another blow to russia's military capabilities in the region.

According to official reports, the raid resulted in the destruction of three Mi-8 multipurpose helicopters. These Soviet-designed workhorses are widely used by russia for troop transport, logistics, and battlefield support, making their loss tactically significant. The elimination of multiple helicopters in one strike reduces the occupiers' ability to rapidly deploy forces and maintain operational flexibility.

In addition to the helicopters, the operation successfully targeted and destroyed russian 55Zh6U Nebo-U radar station. This mobile long-range radar system is designed for airspace monitoring and early detection of aerial threats, including stealth aircraft. Its neutralization not only undermines russia's surveillance capabilities in Crimea but also makes future Ukrainian air and missile operations more difficult to track and intercept.

The 55Zh6U station is considered a valuable asset in russia's layered air defense system, with an estimated cost of tens of millions of dollars.

As Defense Express previously reported, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine continues to assert dominance in the Black Sea with another bold raid on the Tendra Spit. According to official report, fighters from the Viking maritime operations center carried out a night landing, successfully establishing minefields on the narrow strip of land.

The raid was part of Ukraine's wider strategy to undermine russian logistics and restrict enemy maneuverability along coastal zones. By planting mines in key transit areas, the special forces created persistent threats that complicate russian supply and troop movements, turning the Tendra Spit into a dangerous zone for russian forces.
