Ukraine has reported a new series of long-range strikes against russian military and industrial infrastructure, targeting facilities linked to fuel production, drone manufacturing and the launch of attack UAVs.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the strikes on September 15, describing them as part of Ukraine's response to russia's continued attacks on Ukrainian energy and critical infrastructure.

Among the reported targets was the Syzran oil refinery in russia's Samara region. The facility is one of the industrial assets involved in russia's oil-processing network, making strikes against it relevant to Ukraine's efforts to put pressure on the fuel infrastructure supporting russian military operations.
Another reported target was a facility in Taganrog associated with the production of unmanned aerial vehicles. Targeting drone-production infrastructure is particularly significant as russia has substantially expanded its use of attack drones against Ukraine, including during strikes on Ukrainian energy and civilian infrastructure.
Ukraine also reported hitting a drone preparation and launch site in russia's Oryol region. Unlike a manufacturing facility, such a site is directly involved in the operational use of UAVs, meaning its destruction can potentially affect russia's ability to prepare and launch drones for attacks on Ukrainian targets.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy additionally reported a strike in the Black Sea but did not provide details about the target or the weapons used.
As Defense Express previously reported, Ukraine's 429th Brigade has reported striking russian Nebo-M long-range radar system near Millerovo, where russian forces regularly launch Shahed-type attack drones.
