Operators of the Khymera unmanned systems unit within Ukraine's 105th Detachment are actively working to prevent any potential russian offensive toward Chernihiv from the direction of russia's Bryansk region. The unit's operations were highlighted in combat footage released on May 27 by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
According to the report, Ukrainian drone operators are conducting strikes not only along the border area but also across the enemy's own territory. Their primary targets include concentrations of russian personnel, shelters, transport assets, and military infrastructure used to support operations near the border.

The unit emphasizes a proactive approach, aiming to disrupt any buildup of forces before they can be used for offensive actions. By striking logistics hubs and temporary positions inside russian territory, the operators seek to reduce the likelihood of coordinated attacks toward northern Ukraine.
The unit's operational area covers the border zone of Chernihiv region, which has repeatedly been under threat of renewed russian pressure since the early stages of the full-scale invasion.
As Defense Express previously reported, operators of the Nemesis 412th Brigade have begun a large-scale campaign targeting russian trucks, fuel tankers, and supply routes deep behind the front line in the south Ukraine.
