The press center of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informed that on the night of February 25, russian occupiers had launched attack drones against Ukraine. Air Defense Forces managed to destroy 16 out of 18 invaders` drones.
It is noted that russians attacked Ukraine using 18 Shahed kamikaze UAVs, which were launched from the territory of Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the russian federation as well as Cape Chauda in temporarily occupied Crimea.

As a result of work of mobile firing groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, SAM system`s units as well as aviation of the Air Force 16 Shahed kamikaze drones were destroyed.
russian targets were shot down in Poltava, Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson Oblasts.
Occupiers also launched two Kh-31P anti-radar missiles from tactical aircraft from the Black Sea area in the south of Ukraine. Both were successfully neutralized.
The Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine reported that after missiles were launched, two waves of attacks by kamikaze drones had taken place with an interval of more than two hours.
Initially, Shahed-131/136 kamikaze drones were heading from Crimea to Dnipro Oblast via Mykolaiv and Kherson Oblasts.
During next wave, drones were trying to get to the central oblasts and then reach west through the temporarily occupied Kherson Oblast.
The air defense units inflicted an effective demage on drones` route. As a result, six UAVs were destroyed: three in Mykolaiv, two in Kirovohrad as well as one in Kherson Oblast.
"No hits were made," the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine reported.
Earlier Defense Express reported that Ukrainian Forces had shot down a russian A-50 aircraft over the Krasnodar Krai.
