The 27th Pechersk Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine struck a major blow to russian air defenses, eliminating the S-300V system

Ukrainian drone operators from the 27th Pechersk Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine have successfully eliminated russian S-300V surface-to-air missile system in the Zaporizhzhia direction. The strike marks a significant blow to russian air defense capabilities in the sector.

The operation was carried out by the Brigade's strike drone unit, which specializes in precision attacks against high-value enemy assets. According to the National Guard, the destruction of the S-300V system reduces the occupiers' ability to shield their frontline positions and logistical hubs from Ukrainian aerial operations.

The S-300V system is a long-range air defense system designed to protect russian forces from aircraft, drones, and ballistic missiles. Its loss not only diminishes the invaders' layered air defense but also creates vulnerabilities that Ukrainian forces can exploit in future operations.

In addition to the air defense system, the drone operators also destroyed two more pieces of russian military equipment with precision-guided drops. These supplementary strikes highlight the growing versatility and effectiveness of Ukrainian drone warfare on the battlefield.

The National Guard emphasized that the elimination of such targets underscores the role of unmanned systems in modern combat.

"The National Guard proves every day the effectiveness of modern unmanned systems in real combat conditions," the statement read.

As Defense Express previously reported, on one of the hottest sectors of the front line, operators of the Phoenix UAV unit from the State Border Guard Service successfully destroyed multiple pieces of russian heavy equipment, continuing systematic efforts to weaken the enemy's offensive capabilities.

The most notable target was the BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket system, which was moving with a full load of ammunition toward its firing position. The russian forces often use shoot-and-scoot tactics with such systems, conducting rapid strikes before immediately relocating to avoid counterfire.
