Ukrainian drone units carried out a series of strikes targeting russian air defense systems, logistics assets, and troop positions across temporarily occupied territories

Ukrainian drone units carried out a series of strikes against russian air defense systems, logistics infrastructure, and troop deployment sites, according to the Unmanned Systems Forces on May 15. The Unmanned Systems Forces released combat footage showing several successful hits on enemy targets across temporarily occupied territories.

Among the most notable targets was the Pantsir-S1 air defense missile and gun system located in temporarily occupied Crimea. Operators of the 1st Separate Center also reportedly struck russian Be-200 Altair amphibious aircraft and Ka-27 helicopter in the russian city of Yeysk.

In another operation, Ukrainian drones struck a cargo vessel carrying ammunition in the temporarily occupied port city of Berdiansk. Attacks on maritime logistics assets have become increasingly important for Ukraine as russian forces continue relying on ports in southern territories to sustain military operations and transport supplies.

Meanwhile, operators from the Rarog 427th Brigade reportedly destroyed the Tor-M2 surface-to-air missile system in Luhansk region. The Tor-M2 is one of russia's key short-range air defense systems designed to intercept drones, guided munitions, and aircraft near the front line.

The strikes also targeted russian personnel infrastructure. Drone operators from the 414th Brigade, working together with the K-2 unit of the 20th Brigade, attacked a russian training center and a temporary troop deployment site in Luhansk region.

Such facilities play a critical role in preparing reinforcements and rotating personnel for combat operations. Strikes against troop concentration points can disrupt coordination, reduce combat readiness, and complicate efforts to stabilize frontline positions.

As Defense Express previously reported, Ukrainian forces launched a large-scale wave of strikes overnight into May 15, targeting the Ryazan Oil Refinery, naval vessels in Kaspiysk, ammunition depots, and electronic warfare facilities.
