The Ukrainian Palianytsia cruise missile was first made public on August 24, 2024, when its name was officially revealed. For a long time, no new information was available about the missile's type or dimensions, until JSC Ukrainian Defense Industry revealed its specifications at the MSPO 2025 arms exhibition in Poland.
Meanwhile, the developer and manufacturer of this long-range weapon remained unknown, but they have now been officially revealed.

In particular, Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andrii Sybiha, met with his Norwegian counterpart and representatives from the Ukrainian long-range weapons manufacturers, Luch Design Bureau and Fire Point.
The following points are worth noting in this post:
"It was especially nice to receive a model of the Palianytsia missile from Oleh Korostelyov, director of the Luch Design Bureau, as a symbol of our shared commitment to strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities through strategic partnership."
This means that the Palianytsia cruise missile was developed by the team at Luch Design Bureau—undoubtedly masters of their craft.

It should be noted that, according to officially released specifications, the missile is 3.5 meters long, has a wingspan of 1.7 meters, a takeoff weight of 320 kg, including a 100‑kg warhead, and a range of 650 km. The cruise missile uses an inertial and satellite-based navigation system.
Furthermore, since Palianytsia was developed by the Luch Design Bureau, it is reasonable to assume that some solutions from the Neptune missile were incorporated into it.
