The Khyzhak Brigade interceptor drone caught russian Italmas drone in mid-air after an earlier Ukrainian drone failed to bring it down

Ukrainian interceptor drone operated by the Khyzhak Brigade has shot down russian Italmas strike UAV in the north of Kharkiv region, according to Ukraine's National Police.

According to the police, russian Italmas system initially attacked an interceptor drone operated by a neighboring Ukrainian unit. Ukrainian drone exploded close to russian UAV, but the Italmas system survived the encounter and continued flying toward its intended destination.

The Khyzhak Brigade then launched its own interceptor drone to pursue the drone. Ukrainian drone caught up with the Italmas system in the air and destroyed it, preventing russian strike UAV from continuing its mission.

The Italmas, also known as Izdeliye-54 or Product-54, is russian strike UAV developed by companies associated with the ZALA group. Ukraine's intelligence database lists the system as a barrage-type UAV with a declared range of about 200 kilometers.

The National Police also released footage showing other Khyzhak operations in the region. The unit has intercepted and destroyed russian Lancet, Kub, Molniya, Orlan-10, ZALA and Sokol UAVs, along with various FPV drones.
