In an official statement, the General Staff confirmed that Ukrainian long-range strike capabilities successfully destroyed the russian S-300P system, significantly degrading russia’s air defense coverage in the area.

Ukrainian forces also struck a Nebo-M radar system in the same region, critically impacting its performance and simultaneously reducing the operational effectiveness of the adjacent 5N66M Big Bird over-the-horizon radar station.

"These coordinated strikes have considerably weakened russia’s air defense capabilities, undermining the enemy’s ability to protect its forces and infrastructure, and facilitating the operational activities of Ukrainian units," the General Staff reported.
The statement underscored that disabling these systems directly supports Ukraine’s broader objectives to erode russia’s ability to wage aggressive war and to carry out attacks against civilians and civilian infrastructure.
Furthermore, these strikes diminish russia’s capacity to project military power, defend its positions, and maintain its illegal occupation of Ukrainian territories.

"The Defense Forces will persist in conducting operations to undermine the critical systems and enablers supporting russia’s war machine. Ukraine will continue until occupiers abandon their invasion and Ukrainian territorial integrity is restored, and a just lasting peace is established," the General Staff concluded.
