During a recent training, the 41st Mechanized Brigade was seen operating the BMP-1LB, a rarely spotted vehicle in Ukraine’s military arsenal. The BMP-1LB vehicle is a conversion of the MT-LB type, a versatile tracked chassis, upgraded with a remotely controlled combat module featuring the KPVT 14.5 mm heavy machine gun.
The conversion retains the MT-LB vehicle’s mobility while adding a remote weapon system, allowing the crew to engage targets from a safer position. The KPVT gun provides sufficient firepower for engaging light vehicles and fortifications, making it suitable for a range of battlefield roles.

The training highlighted the integration of such modified vehicles into the brigade’s operations.
