Ukrainian National Guard units from the Lasar's Group have repelled russian assault on the Dobropillia axis, destroying and damaging eight pieces of enemy military equipment. Footage of the engagement was released on the official channel of the National Guard of Ukraine, providing visual confirmation of the strike results.

According to the statement, russian forces intensified their assault actions ahead of the New Year in an apparent attempt to demonstrate battlefield gains. However, fighters of the Lasar's Group effectively disrupted these plans, preventing the enemy from achieving any tactical success.

The attempted assault took place in the area of responsibility of the Azov 1st Corps, where russian troops sought to break through toward forward positions of Ukrainian forces. The attack involved armored vehicles advancing toward Ukrainian lines.

In response, drone crews from the Lasar's Group conducted precise strikes using FPV drones and heavy bomber-type UAVs. These assets were employed to target russian armored columns before they could reach Ukrainian positions, showcasing the growing role of unmanned systems in defensive operations.

As a result of the coordinated strikes, Ukrainian forces destroyed and damaged a significant amount of russian equipment. Losses reportedly include an infantry fighting vehicle, two armored combat vehicles, an armored personnel carrier, a tank, a bridge-laying vehicle, and two additional armored personnel carriers struck in cooperation with other units.

The operation was carried out in close coordination with neighboring units of Ukrainian forces. This inter-unit cooperation allowed for effective target acquisition and timely engagement of advancing enemy forces.

As Defense Express previously reported, Ukraine's Defense Intelligence has reported a new successful strike operation carried out in temporarily occupied Crimea ahead of Christmas. According to a statement released on December 26, operators from the Prymary special unit targeted and destroyed several high-value russian military assets.
