Ukraine's Defense Intelligence has reported a new successful strike operation carried out in temporarily occupied Crimea ahead of Christmas. According to a statement released on December 26, operators from the Prymary special unit targeted and destroyed several high-value russian military assets.
The operation focused on air defense and command-and-control elements deployed by russian forces on the peninsula. The Defense Intelligence stated that the strikes resulted in the destruction of a launcher from the S-300V air defense system, significantly degrading one of russia's key long-range air defense capabilities in the area.

Also reported destroyed was the RSP-6M2 radar system, which is used to support air defense operations by providing target detection and tracking. The loss of such radar assets directly impacts the effectiveness of russian air defense coverage and situational awareness.
In addition, Ukrainian intelligence confirmed the destruction of the Redut-221 command-and-staff vehicle belonging to the Buk-M3 air defense system. Command vehicles play a critical role in coordinating launches and managing engagements, making them particularly valuable and difficult to replace targets.
Another confirmed hit involved the 9S36M fire control radar, also part of the Buk-M3 system. This radar is responsible for target illumination and missile guidance, and its destruction further degrades the operational capability of the entire air defense system.
Ukraine's Defense Intelligence also reported a strike against a fortified russian structure used to protect weapons and military equipment. According to the statement, two russian personnel were present near the site at the time of the attack, underscoring the continued risk faced by occupying forces even in rear areas.
As Defense Express previously reported, artillery units of the National Guard of Ukraine have conducted training exercises using a modernized BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket system, incorporating a new chassis and digital fire control technologies.
The exercises were showcased in a video released by the brigade of the National Guard, highlighting ongoing efforts to adapt legacy Soviet-era systems to modern battlefield requirements.
