russians are installing sensors on their SKAT-350M reconnaissance UAVs to evade Ukrainian anti-aircraft FPV drones. Although this was already known, new footage has confirmed that this measure is provided by the manufacturer.
The image, most likely from an information booklet, was published by the OSINT channel Potuzhnyi Informator. It shows a sensor that detects approaching FPV drones, prompting the reconnaissance drone to initiate evasive maneuvers.

However, despite the appearance of information and numerous videos, it is still unknown what such a system looks like. At the same time, according to the insider, it is not a mirror or a camera, like the one on the Zala Z-16 UAV.
It should be noted that with the rise and widespread use of anti-aircraft drones, various countermeasures have been actively implemented. These ranged from special camouflage designed to avoid detection by enemy drones to evasive maneuvering systems.
Although no method provided guaranteed effectiveness, maneuvering significantly complicated the process of shooting down. Therefore, Ukrainian developers will have to consider the enemy's countermeasures.

The evasion system on the SKAT-350M, produced by Izhevsk Aviation Plant, which is part of the JSC Kalashnikov Concern, was revealed several months ago. Meanwhile, their widespread use already suggested a likely factory origin of such countermeasures.
Notably, this drone closely resembles Supercam from Unmanned Systems, suggesting that its FPV drone protection may be similar. However, there is no accurate information available yet to analyze the evasion system.
Overall, russia is openly reporting on the industrial supply of anti-aircraft drones, highlighting that this is not a universal air defense measure. However, this does not mean Ukrainian efforts will stop; instead, it drives further investment.
