A drone, which has been identified as a Russian-made Orlan-10, has crashed in Romania. The aircraft has been found by a local farmer in the municipality of Dumitra, just over 100 kilometers south of the Ukrainian border.
According to Romanian media, the authorities did not comment on the model or the origin of the aircraft, and an investigation has been opened into the incident.
However, photos of the aircraft, reportedly published by the authorities, allow to identify it, as an Orlan-10, a Russian-made observation drone widely used by the Russian military.
It should be noted that this is the second UAV that Russian army loosed on the territory of NATO countries. On the night of March 11, a Soviet-made Tu-141 UAV crashed in Zagreb, Croatia.
