The Armed Forces of Ukraine captured rare russian DT-30 Vityaz articulated tracked carrier, which was created specifically for the Arctic environment.
A video appeared on the network show russian carrier in a poor condition. The location isn’t disclosed but the 200th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade that is now in Avdiivka (Donetsk region) has been receiving such equipment.

It is the first DT-30 Vityaz carrier that Ukrainian Forces has captured.
The DT-30 Vityaz all-terrain tracked carrier was designed to carry heavy loads over all off-road terrain, including swamps, sand and snow. First vehicle was built in 1981 and small scale production commenced in 1982.
The vehicle is powered by a V-46-5 multi-fuel diesel engine, developing 710 hp. It was developed from the engine used on the T-72 main battle tank. The engine is fitted with a pre-heater and can be started at -50°C. When the temperature is -50˚C it takes 30 minutes to prepare the vehicles for traveling.
