Ukraine has released updated information on recent strikes against russian oil refining infrastructure, confirming serious damage at the Yaroslavl refinery and large-scale destruction of fuel storage facilities near the Tuapse oil refinery

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the April 26, 2026 strike on the oil refinery in Yaroslavl resulted in confirmed damage to a vacuum distillation unit, a critical part of the crude oil processing cycle responsible for preparing feedstock for further refining.

Additional details were also provided regarding strikes near the Tuapse oil refinery in russia's Krasnodar region.

Following the April 20 attack, the destruction of 24 fuel storage tanks has been confirmed, while four more tanks were damaged.

It is worth noting that after drone strikes on April 16, the Tuapse oil refinery was almost completely shut down.

The large fire that followed was accompanied by a massive plume of smoke that spread for hundreds of kilometers and, according to observations, reached as far as russia's Stavropol region.

Following the drone strikes, activity at the port of Tuapse also slowed significantly, dropping by approximately half compared to average operational levels.
