The new Mission Control platform integrates UAV missions into the DELTA combat ecosystem, giving commanders real-time visibility and eliminating paper-based reporting

Ukraine has launched a new digital command-and-control project aimed at fundamentally restructuring how drone warfare is managed on the battlefield. The initiative, called Mission Control, is designed to integrate all drone operations into a single digital management system within the military ecosystem, marking a major step toward fully network-centric warfare.

Mission Control will operate as part of the DELTA combat ecosystem, creating a unified platform for planning, tracking, and analyzing UAV missions. The system digitally consolidates what was previously fragmented across reports, spreadsheets, and manual logs, replacing bureaucratic processes with automated data flows generated directly from operational activity.

Under the new model, each drone crew inputs standardized mission data into the system, including UAV type, launch point, flight route, and assigned task. This information is processed automatically, eliminating paper-based reporting and reducing the administrative burden on frontline personnel. For the first time, commanders gain real-time visibility of mission execution without relying on manual summaries or delayed reports.

The platform provides a live operational picture of drone activity, mission intensity, and unit-level contributions across the battlefield. This enables more precise coordination, faster decision-making, and improved resource allocation, shifting command processes away from intuition-based assessments toward data-driven operational control.

Mission Control is not intended as a standalone solution. Ukrainian defense planners have already announced that a similar digital management system will be developed for artillery forces, creating a unified command architecture across multiple combat domains. This indicates a broader transformation toward integrated digital warfare rather than isolated technological upgrades.

In the longer term, the system will generate comprehensive analytics on drone crews, commanders, unit performance, monthly rankings, and operational effectiveness. This data infrastructure is designed to support strategic-level planning, logistics optimization, and personnel management, enabling faster and more objective command decisions.

The project is supported by analytical and modeling work conducted within Brave1, where a dedicated "mathematics of war" department develops data-driven methodologies for military decision-making. This approach reflects a shift from fragmented information flows toward structured, algorithm-supported operational management.

Conceptually, Mission Control represents a new logic of warfare for Ukraine: systematic, technology-centered, and efficiency-driven. By replacing chaos and fragmentation with integrated digital control, the system aims not only to increase combat effectiveness, but also to preserve personnel by enabling more precise, informed, and coordinated battlefield operations.
