The publication Frontliner has released footage of an F-16 fighter jet in combat on one of the frontline directions

The footage of the F-16 was shared by Andrii Dubchak, the founder and chief editor of Frontliner, on Facebook.

"Suddenly, the growing hum of the jet engine becomes recognizable, and the plane flies towards the front, at a nearby landing, at an ultra-low altitude.

'Here is an F-16 with additional tanks,' comments one of the soldiers.

In a minute or two, the F-16 will turn around and fly past us again.

'Somewhere, russians are probably already screaming in the fire or running around with tourniquets,' I say.

'No. Not with tourniquets, but with an Esmarch bandage,' the soldier clarifies.

The unexpected F-16 left engine trails in the sky at the spot where it had just released its deadly payload in a swift climb toward the advancing russian army," Dubchak recounted.

In 2023, Ukraine and its allies formed an aviation coalition to provide Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets. According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukraine needs at least 128 F-16s.

By August 2024, it was officially confirmed that the Defense Forces had received the first F-16s from the Netherlands and Denmark. Meanwhile, Belgium plans to deliver 30 fighter jets by the end of 2028.
