On Wednesday, October 11, russian forces continued shelling Ukrainian port infrastructure near the border between Ukraine and Romania. As a result, approximately 3 kilometers west of the settlement Plauru in Tulcea, a russian unmanned aerial vehicle crashed. As known, this is not the first such incident

According to the Romanian Ministry of Defense, the drone's wreckage was discovered at around 5 AM on October 12th.

"At around 5:00 in the morning, the teams in the field reported the discovery of a drone crater with a possible explosion upon impact in the vegetated area near the right bank of Chilia Branch, at approximately 3 km West of Plauru Locality," as reported by the Defense Ministry of Romania.

The department emphasized that it "strongly condemns russia's attacks on the civilian infrastructure in Ukrainian ports on the Danube."

"These are unjustified attacks that contradict the norms of international humanitarian law," the statement from the Romanian department said.

Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Luminița Odobescu, called on russia to stop the ongoing attacks on Ukraine, particularly on Odesa, which directly affect Romanian territory.

"Heinous russian attacks on Ukraine civilian infrastructure had again serious consequences on Romania's territory. New evidence of impact was found on Romania's soil. We call on russia to stop these war crimes," she said on the X social network on Thursday.

As known, this is not the first such incident. It should be recalled that Ukraine reported that two drones crashed on Romanian territory during russian Shahed drone attacks using on Izmail and Reni.
