On the night of October 12, 2023, the enemy launched a drone attack on Ukraine from the northern and southern directions – Belgorod region (russia) and from Cape Chauda (Tuzla Spit, Crimea).
A total of 33 Shahed drones were detected. The enemy drones flew in various directions, and as a result, the air defense systems were active in at least six regions of Ukraine. In an attempt to evade the air defense systems, kamikaze drones were utilizing complex trajectories and taking advantage of the terrain’s features.

To repel the aerial attack, aviation, air defense units, mobile fire groups and electronic warfare units were deployed.
During this night, with the combined efforts of the Air Force in cooperation with the Air Defense Forces of Ukraine, 28 Shahed-131/136 drones were destroyed.
Unfortunately, the attacks resulted in damage to warehouse buildings in the port area in the south of Odesa region. Additionally, private homes of peaceful residents were also affected. Fires that broke out were promptly extinguished by firefighters. Preliminary information indicates that one civilian was injured.
