According to Bild, even if the missiles are delivered to Ukraine in the near future, the problem will be a long training period for the Ukrainian military in order to use them correctly and effectively.

"All the arguments of the chancellor's office for the delay (of Taurus deliveries, - ed.) are now invalid. Reason suggests that the Taurus should be delivered immediately. We saw how important cruise missiles are for Ukraine recently after the attack on the headquarters of the russian Black Sea Fleet," Markus Faber, defense expert of the Free Democratic Party of Germany (FDP, Freie Demokratische Partei) told to Bild.

The Missiles are produced at the MBDA factory in Schrobenhausen. The manufacturer believes that it will take about three months to prepare Ukrainian personal for the Taurus launch.

"The Ukrainians first requested (Taurus missiles, - ed.) more than four months ago. This time could have been used to successfully complete the training," FDP defense expert Markus Faber criticized the German leadership for delaying the transfer of long-range cruise missiles and wasting the time.

We remind that late May, 2023, Media Said That Ukraine was Asking Germany for Taurus KEPD 350 Cruise Missiles.

As Defense Express reported, in June, 2023, German Defense Minister Denied Taurus Missiles to Ukraine. Answering the question about whether Germany will satisfy Ukraine's request for Taurus cruise missiles, the official said:

"Not at the moment, and we aren't really thinking about doing it," and he didn't specify the reasons for this stance on the air-launched missiles.
