On Friday, December 6, the Danish Ministry of Defense released a statement primarily focused on allocating additional funds for the procurement of weapons for Ukraine's Defense Forces. It also highlighted efforts to accelerate the delivery of previously contracted arms and military equipment to Ukrainian forces.

The ministry noted that the timeline for delivering French-made CAESAR self-propelled howitzers to Ukraine has been advanced. Initially scheduled for delivery in 2026, the 155-mm howitzers will now be supplied as early as next year.

It is worth noting that this involves a joint procurement effort by Denmark and France. Plans to purchase additional CAESAR self-propelled howitzers manufactured by KNDS for Ukraine were reported in March this year.

This positive development appears to be directly related to France's reduction of the production cycle for CAESAR howitzers from 30 to 15 months, as well as an increase in the production rate of these systems.

If, as of spring this year, France was producing six CAESAR self-propelled howitzers per month, by November the country's Ministry of Defense reported an increase in production to 12 units per month.
