Ukrainian border guards from the Phoenix unit have once again dealt a heavy blow to russian artillery on the Pokrovsk front. In less than a week, the defenders managed to destroy two BM-27 Uragan multiple rocket launchers, depriving the enemy of significant firepower.
According to the State Border Guard Service, the latest strike occurred during a combat sortie by an FPV drone crew. The operator initially targeted enemy infantry but soon detected a far more valuable objective, russian Uragan rocket launcher positioned along a roadside.

Nearby, a vehicle and two motorcycles were parked, with their crews gathered around the artillery system. Observations indicated that the occupiers were preparing the launcher for action, likely intending to strike at Ukrainian defensive positions.
The drone pilot quickly assessed the situation and redirected the attack. Without hesitation, he guided the FPV drone straight into the launcher, striking with pinpoint accuracy. The explosion was so powerful that it destroyed not only the BM-27 system but also the vehicles parked alongside it.
The loss of such equipment is a serious setback for russian forces in the sector. The Uragan system, capable of firing a barrage of 220 mm rockets, is one of russia's most destructive artillery systems. Its elimination reduces the intensity of potential bombardments against Ukrainian positions in the Pokrovsk direction.
As Defense Express previously reported, on September 5, Ukrainian border guards operating near the settlement of Netailove in Donetsk region successfully destroyed russian BM-27 Uragan multiple rocket launcher before it could be used against Ukrainian positions. The enemy vehicle was reportedly advancing toward Pokrovsk with the intent to breach Ukraine's defensive lines.
The operation was carried out by the Phoenix unit, which managed to strike the target with precision. The Uragan system was completely engulfed in flames and destroyed, neutralizing a significant threat to Ukrainian forces.
