Specifically, there were references to russia possibly possessing the Tu-16 heavy bombers. The association between the Tu-16 aircraft and large bombs, like the ODAB-9000, is logical. During the Soviet war in Afghanistan (1979-1989), the Tu-16 bombers were used to drop the FAB-9000 bombs.
However, it is important to clarify that russia decommissioned its Tu-16 fleet in the 1990s, along with Ukraine, either scrapping the planes or repurposing them for experimental use, such as flying targets.
